Project Overview: Because of the quality of Engineers, for their work ethics, for sharing the same Time Zone with the USA and for the reduction of costs it represents, Thompson Engineering hired We Install IT in order to find a talented engineer. The position was to work remotely for their team in San Diego as an audio specialist. As Latin America has become one of the main places to find talent for the Software Development industry, more companies are looking for this new and latest cost efficient trend.
Position Description: Audio Specialist:
- Review Master Format Construction specifications, construction drawings and single-line drawings to determine a BOM.
- Generate RFI/RFCs for deficiencies or discrepancies in specifications, construction drawings and/or single-line drawings.
- Write AV specifications to be included in Electrical Engineer’s specification.
- Design AV systems based on customer requirements and site conditions.
- Create single-line drawings to be included in company shop drawings. (AutoCAD not required, Visio or Bluebeam is acceptable)
- Program DSP/Control Equipment to meet design specifications and maximize room acoustics.
- Support company employees remotely to ensure the system is installed and functioning per specifications and design.

- Q-Sys and Power Amplifiers
- Extron – Crosspoint Matrix Switchers and various controllers (specified by a lot of School Districts in our area)

- Shure and Sennheiser microphone systems
- EASE Design Software
