Description of the Project:
The AV installation project at the Menlo Park site encompassed a multi-phase deployment of
AV workstations and meeting spaces across two buildings (125 and 135), spread over
multiple floors. The timeline included equipment delivery on March 7, 2025, with project
completion scheduled for March 28, 2025.

 

Pre-Visit Activities:
Initial planning and cabling were scheduled prior to the March installation window. These
activities ensured proper infrastructure was in place for equipment mounting and integration,
minimizing delays during the main installation phase. Key activities included:

  • Site walks and space verification
  • Coordination with SnowFlake’s IT and facilities team
  • Equipment inventory and staging logistics

 

Install Visit (March Timeframe):
Installation was conducted across several priority areas, including open workspaces and
meeting rooms.
A total of 1,616 new AV workstations were installed, with an additional 487 workstations
transported and reinstalled from SnowFlake’s San Francisco office — resulting in 2,103 fully
equipped AV workstations across the Menlo Park campus.

Deployment was distributed as follows:

  • Building 125: Floors 2, 4, 6, 8
  • Building 135: Floors 2, 3, 4, 6, 7

 

Each workstation was outfitted with:

  • Single monitor configurations
  • Cable management
  • Full USB-C connectivity

 

This installation significantly enhances communication and productivity through robust AV
solutions tailored to SnowFlake’s operational needs. The phased implementation approach
ensured a seamless transition from infrastructure preparation to fully operational AV-enabled
environments.

To create a premium and highly functional meeting space, we implemented the following enhancements in the boardroom:

  • Advanced Audio System: Installed a QSC Core 110F-based audio system, integrating QSC NM-T1-BK table microphones, QSC AC-C6T ceiling speakers, and Shure MXA MUTE buttons for exceptional audio clarity and control.
  • Intelligent Camera System: Three QSC Q-SYS NC-20×60 cameras were deployed, and they were equipped with ACPR technology. This innovative system automatically detects the active speaker and focuses the camera accordingly, ensuring that all participants are clearly visible.
  • High-Resolution Display: Installed a large LG Electronics LAEC015-GN2.AUSQE display with a pixel pitch of 1.56 mm and a diagonal size of 136 inches. This high-quality display delivers exceptional visuals, enhancing the overall meeting experience.
  • Integrated Control System: Implemented a Q-SYS control system to manage cameras, audio,  lighting control, blinds, HVAC and privacy windows, and other functions from a single interface. This streamlined the operation of the boardroom and provided a seamless user experience.

 

Town Hall:

  • Upgraded Cameras: Replaced existing PTZ cameras with QSC NC-20×60 models for improved image quality and clarity.
  • Wireless Microphones: Integrated Shure BLX14R/SM35 wireless microphones for greater flexibility and convenience.
  • Enhanced User Interface: Developed a user-friendly interface that allows for easy control of microphone volume and camera switching, providing a seamless experience for presenters and attendees.

 

Hybrid SUMs:

  • Recalibrated Audio: Fine-tuned the existing ceiling microphones and audio system for optimal sound quality.
  • Cable Management: Implemented cable management solutions to improve the overall appearance and functionality of the spaces.
  • Additional Camera: Installed a second camera focused on the presenter, giving participants the option to choose between viewing the presenter or the audience.
