Description of the Job Performed:

Customer’s Challenge:

Our East Coast customer, Yorktel, approached us with an extensive project spanning multiple locations in Southern California. The project involved upgrading 57 conference rooms and 13 training rooms across six buildings. The challenge was that the end customer maintained an online office with a mid-occupancy rate, making facilities management, coordination with the General Contractor (GC), room scheduling, and minimizing disruptions particularly complex. To address this, we introduced a Project Coordinator to support the out-of-state customer’s Project Manager.

Hardware Validation and On-Site Kit Preparation:

We waited for the hardware to arrive on-site to ensure proper vetting before commencing the project. On-site, we meticulously kitted the equipment and initiated the decommissioning and installation phases. The project involved technically complex systems, with significant in-ceiling work required, including the installation of microphones, speakers, cameras, and controllers.

Commissioning and Configuration:

Commissioning was a critical phase, involving Crestron code uploading, DSP configuration, and iAuditor reporting to ensure the functionality and quality of the AV systems.

Ahead-of-Schedule Delivery:

Despite the project’s challenging kick-off due to the unique constraints of a fully operational online office, we completed the scope of work three days ahead of the planned timeline. This achievement reflected our commitment to efficient project management and delivery.
